Elena — Quiet Strength

This series was born from fragments of memory and found objects. The image of a woman in fur, discovered in an archive, resonated with a personal memory — a vintage fur collar once gifted to me by my husband’s mother. Antique Trifari earrings found at the Navigli market in Milan completed the visual dialogue.

At the center of the series is a woman outside of time — calm, self-contained, existing somewhere between vulnerability and inner strength. A portrait in which the woman does not perform a role, but allows herself to be seen.

Through stillness, gaze, and the tactile presence of materials, the series explores trust — trust in the process, in the body, and in one’s own reflection. It is not a story about identity as performance, but about a state of being in which beauty emerges through quietness and self-acceptance.
